I share this quote with you because sometimes business owners may have to fill several roles in their business. However some entrepreneurs get over extended in this. They keep working on distractions that keep them from reaching their goals. These are tasks that need to be done to help the business, but the owner is trying and trying until it’s perfect, not realizing the delays it’s causing. They get stuck trying to figure how to get a product out there with marketing, or social media, or trying to update a website and other traps. So time goes by and their new product launch is delayed or getting new clients is delayed, or bookkeeping is behind, for example.

Business owners need to see where their time is better spent in their strong points in running a business. Then they can outsource their weak areas to people who are experts in those areas so the work can be done faster. This can be on a project basis, part time staff, or contractors if the tasks are not needed regularly. Pick the one that satisfies your budget.

Know that it does not have to be perfect. Stop delaying for perfection. Just do well on it within a deadline and offer the services or the products. Update and evolve them as clients give you their feedback on their needs and your offers.
